I just bought a nice little older 9.8 hp Mercury model 110 tiller kicker motor and was wondering if there is any kind of remote control throttle control that could be added to it? I believe it's a 1978 model. I know they make kits to tie the kicker to the main motor for steering but I haven't heard of any throttle control kit. I plan to try to use the kicker to push the boat and my MinnKota to steer it because my 2 marine batteries seem to run down after about 4 or 5 hours on auto pilot. They are fairly new series 29 batteries and they will go for 6-8 hours at moderate speed if I don't use auto pilot but they go down fast on auto pilot.

I had one at one time but it wasn't remote. It was an electric servo and had a control knob you turned to adjust the speed. Look up (trollmaster)
