Geez Allen. re-read his comment. Perfectly relevant and interesting. Guessing they practiced using equipment out there, like the rover.

Current day, it is used for recreation, including dirt bikes.

The spece program used terrain like moonscape in a lot of places to train. They extensively used a bunch of th so called “Canadian Shield near Sarnia, Ontario for training astronaughts, prototype dune buggies and other equipment. It was a big deal back then. A classmate, a surgeon treated many of their injuries, etc. No different from Patton using the Az and Southern California for training their oops in desert warfare. Does this mean the entire north African campaign was a fraud too?
Lots of places in the southern deserts resembling moonscape were used as well as some deep scuba training o try to simulate weightlessness and of course the Air Force transports with their parabolic arcs to create real weightlessness. Lots of this kind of research can be done via computer stuff here days, but believe it or not the whole Apollo program was guided by old fashioned slide rules, not computers.
I’m amazed there are still some holdouts actually believing it was all a farce and fraud! LOL.

I’m sure there’s a few, actually more than a few, here you could convince that Columbus was not one of the first to come to America.

From a Biblical world view absolute truth ( black and white) does exist. From corrupted world view one would argue philosophically that all truth is relative. As Clinton would say " it depends on what is is".

Dark Triad that's interesting we have a liberal on nodak that calls himself Machiavelli.

Just making sure everyone is aware PG did not say dirt bikes were used as moon mission training. Now I'm saying riding a dirt bike on the moon would be fun. You could get some sweet jumps.

"according to new research, it isn't ignorance that makes people most likely to buy into conspiratorial thinking, or social isolation or mental illness. It's a far more prevalent and pesky personality quirk: overconfidence"

before anyone goes busting allen's nutsack for posting a yahoo article, they just republished the thing. it wasn't a yahoo original

Without NASA we'd probably still be wiggling on tin foiled rabbit ears every time we
tried to watch tv.

Oh @espringers maybe you can google definition of a person who blindly believes everything the communist media says without a second thought. Also the fbi was the ones who coined the phrase conspiracy theory after the jfk assassination,.and it took 70 years only to find out the conspiracy theorist were right about the involvement of the federal government. Same as Vietnam conflict was started on false pretences, the cia/Isreal/Nicaragua cocaine for arms deal selling cocaine to the below poverty population of this country, so why not the moon landing and the governments involvement in the use of a bioweapon to steal an election from a president.

So who would you rather be a mindless puppet who says and does everything the communist media tells you to do or a person who by the way overconfident is just a nice way of saying a person who is arrogant who questions his government involvement in his life.

It amazes me that there are still people out there believing everything the media tells them
