Pulling off the lake a couple weeks back I was struggling in the dark, wind, and cold to see more than a few yards in front of the Ranger. I have decided to install a big light bar on the roof.
What do you guys that have them recommend? Also I have a plastic roof on top, so do I fasten to the roof, or to the roll cage or what exactly.

Thanks
johnr

Some highly rated ones on amazon relatively cheap. Dang things put out a lot of light. Im a HUGE LED fan... Converted my whole house and my parents about a year ago and save BUKKA BUCKS! :)

Another example of LED's working hard... (30w led puts out A LOT of light)

Bought mine from northern tool a few years back and mounted two 16 inch ones on the roll bar as I have no top. Incredible difference. I am sure they could be mounted to the roof with good backing on the bolts.

My neighbor mounted a led bar on his roof just through the plastic. I don't know what brand he bought but it's about as wide as the machine and half the price of the 36" light bar from Polaris. Or maybe it is a 24" bar from Polaris. I just got my new Ranger and want to add one too. Not sure which one yet.

After elk hunting this year, and was out running the headlights all the time, I just went with a 24" Philips 240 watt bar, mounted to the 2 holes behind the bumper, I got the one with the sliding mounts, (not end mounts) and it fit perfect. I could not mount on roof because of clearance loading into my enclosed snowmobile trailer. I have a 2013 900 ranger.

I was just looking into this today. I called and checked with the local polaris and it was almost $700 for the 36" light bar of theirs and it only puts out 9400lumens. I called the place I bought my 900 from and they have a off brand that is almost half the price. I'm going to put on a 40". The brand is Slasher. They quoted me, installed at $525. It puts out over 19,000 lumens. The polaris lights are a joke for what they want.

I think I'm going to put on a 40" up top, and a 13" on the front brush guard. Should be able to give the wife a tan with those!
