So much stupidity on both sides. Can't wait for the vote to be over.

- - - Updated - - -

FYI
I Just completed a call to WSI to see if they would have any new policy changes if #3 passes and they said they are not implementing anything new. If you are in a work accident and test positive for THC you most likely be denied benefits, her comment was" impaired is impaired" when I asked if there was a limit. Now she did say with a medical card 15 nanograms is the impaired threshold, I have no clue as to how much it takes to get to 15 nanograms and the time it takes to dissipate.

Sounds like worth taking a chance.

LOL

I'm still voting no on #3.

This was an exhausting thread to look through...

I lived in Denver pre-legalization and visited post, not much has changed. It was very green before the vote and it still is very green but at least now it is taxed. There was a lot of the same rhetoric the opposition used in CO then as they do now in ND but the major difference is that they were the first ones to decriminalize it.

For how conservative NDA typically is and looking at how close the poll is here, I think M3 will pass next week.

Not sure you can tell but... I am voting yes

They just want to keep the black market alive, a lot of people in ND depend on it for their bread and butter...
I don't understand that. If your implying law enforcement they are falling further behind all the time. Not enough man power to get the job done they have now. Many would like to see a few more officers or less load. Either would help. Sure they see any enforcement as a work load including the MJ laws, but I think most see an even heavier work load with MJ being legal.

I read that too, started a reply, then shook my head and decided not to take the bait. I THINK though, he's talking about some shadowy secret organized body of potheads and black marketeers, and people who are voting against it?

I didn't even see the Law Enforcement angle you singled out.

Hmm, who knows what he's thinking?

This whole MJ think is very hard to understand. In the past you knew it was always ultra liberals that wanted the drugs. I still have not read a reputable paper from the American Medical Journal or Center For Disease Control, or any outlet I trust that tells about the benefits of MJ. Oh sure I have seen it posted in many places, but I can find articles that tell you unicorns exist too.
In the past the people that used MJ were not good people. That leaves you wondering about the people today. We are all a product of our experiences and my experience with the MJ crowd was the anti Viet Nam protestors, the cop haters, the down with the establishment marchers, the legalize abortion crowd, straight down the road ultra liberal. So now at my age it's hard for me to read comments from people who appear conservative, but are pro MJ. The two things are just at odds in my memory bank. My memory bank is of people that smoked MJ also broke many other laws and were not people to be trusted. Has the world changed that much or did the stoners win when I wasn't watching?

There are a lot of industries that make $$$ off the war on drugs, not just LE... There are addiction counselors who people caught with small amounts of drugs are mandated to see, probation officers, court systems, detainment facilities. The fact that ND has some of the highest arrest rates in the country for a drug that shouldnt even be illegal should tell you something. On average last year, 7 people / day in ND were arrested for possession of marijuana, something to think about. I know a lot of LE would like to see it legalized, but not many higher up in those organizations, they know its a big part of their business model.

I'm not convinced. Busses are hauling tribe members and college students to polling sites so a new record number of voters in this election. Between the let down or medical and all the peer pressure and lies against it on social media , Friends , family and co workers. Peer pressure will be left behind the curtain where voters can think for themselves. After it passes by small margin quite a few People who voted in favor for it will be saying I can't believe people were be so stupid to vote in favor of it.

People have very short memories. When the legislators told the people their vote doesn’t count and that they know better people were mad and ready to hold them accountable, now the anti 3 crowd is telling them that drug dogs are going to be out of jobs and entire schools of kids are going to be starting marijuana use for the first time if we legalize and people are backing off. Kind of like the nfl deal, right away a huge number of viewers were never going to watch again. That didn’t last, I’m about the only one of my friends I know that gave the nfl the finger and stuck with it

^^^^^!!!!

I thought it kind of odd that no one has mentioned that the most liberal person in the state voted NO on measure 3.

Fish On!

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...s-voting-ban&usg=AOvVaw3X3zBaVLG0cE0DtzDetfG2

This vote transcends political lines. It's not republican vs. Democrat. There are "vote yes" signs in my neighborhood and town next to both Heidi and Cramer signs. RIGHT next to them. Clearly a political non-statement.

For the record, I don't think it will pass "as written". However, buckle up....the conversation has begun and it will continue....This will happen, either locally or federally soon.

Haha I remember saying I'd eat a tub of worms if someone caught a state record walleye on a given weekend. I think it was you. No way in heck I'd make a claim to eat worms one way or the other with M3 . I think it will be very close one way or the other.

After spending a week in Denver and walking around the Capital building, library and other public spaces, I can't believe anyone would think legalizing weed is a good thing. Literally hundreds of people laying around on the lawns with trash everywhere. I've watched documentaries on how great the supposed tax revenue was going to be, but they spend more on regulating the dispensaries and other law enforcement than is collected. The same documentary was stating how much stronger the new weed is compared to the stuff from the 70's or 80's. I believe in the medicinal part of it, but why can't it be in pill form so it doesn't cause lung damage?
You sure you weren't stoned and watching a 70's TV show? My niece lives in Co and I've been there several times and have yet to see one person let alone several hundred laying around on the lawns??
