Me and a buddy went to Marvin Miller Lake yesterday. Got there about 12:00 and bites were steady until about 3:00. Most were 13-15" with some smaller. It's a pretty small lake and if the water level drops much more it will be tough to unload a boat. Sounds like water levels in quite a few of those eastern lakes have been dropping the last couple of years ago so it won't surprise me if they start winter killing. Up until just a few years ago they were just cattail sloughs anyway so it should be no surprise if they go away as fast as they showed up. For now fishing is still pretty good in most of them. Don't know where the 'Sconi's will go if they dry up.

Hay Pony did you try going through the shallows to the east? that part is much deeper and fish are bigger. Did that last year, had to get out of my alumacraft 16-5 to float her through. only about a foot deep but it worked.

We talked about trying to cross over but my buddies boat is a heavy 17.5 foot Lund and we didn't know for sure how deep the ridge was. Someone in Napoleon told us they had caught and released a couple of 29+ inchers there, probably on the side we didn't fish.

you can get thru the first pass but the big part of the lake to the east is landlocked, can not cross to east, probably 2 foot of land showing. I went to the highway part and that will be landlocked soon if keeps dropping. I didn't do as well, was slow for me. So basically with a boat only parts you can get to are dock part and the next two east of dock area, big lone east part is a no go

water keeps dropping slowly in s.central. sconis are going to have to take over another area if it keeps up (hopefully somewhere in wisconsin) d.l basin is wet compared to rest of the state but even that area is losing water. i have a feeling we are on the front end of the big "d"
