Minn Kota

Hey All,

i wanted to see if anyone has had a problem with their Minn Kota turning only one way? Mine started acting up last weekend, only turns left. What I have done so far is; WD-40 the connectors, replace the motor in the housing, replace the control panel and checked the wiring off the control panel. Still only turns one direction, even if I press it to turn right still turns left. Tried with the foot control and remote...same deal. Anybody have any ideas on what to try next?

Its a 2005 Power Drive.

I believe it's the compass for auto pilot that causes that. Had one do that, scraped it and got a terrova with ipilot

I know I've had a couple of Auto Pilots that perform the left-turn spin of death when my batteries got low.

I think Scheels has a Minnkota guy that will pick up and fix these things.
Give them a call and see if they still do that.

I would try that also. they can cause all kinds of goofy things even while using the remote

Well tried everything patience can handle and just ended up with a new I Pilot. Thanks for the help everyone, time to get the evening bite.

I had a power drive that would not turn at all when I had the copilot connected. Disconnect the copilot completely and only connect the pedal, see if it turns then.....
