Let's face it, there are already plenty of laws on the books with similar intent.

Another I dislike in particular is the one where if you have a rifle in your possession (vehicle), and if after dark you pull into an approach on the side of a gravel road (your headlights shine out into a field/pasture/etc, you are guilty of spotlighting and attempting to poach deer.

The actual law says that if you are caught in an area known for deer and if it's after hours, it is enough evidence to prosecute and convict you of poaching. WTF?

i would have to look. but, i am not even sure you need a gun do you?

You're right, I could be armed with a connibear.

What the hell. Looks like any one of you that has pulled over to take a piss whilst taking the backroads home after sunset is as guilty of poaching as a grandmas gratis shooting party hunter :;:muahaha:;:stirthepot

So basically every single goose hunters is guilty of big game poaching for pulling into a field to setup a decoy spread. Have to believe the only reason that this law and others like it still exists is because no one's likely challenged it in court. Sure seems like you could beat this law with even the worst attorney out there since it is clearly run afoul of some constitutionally-protected rights.

So your Devil's Advocate would be okay with setting the precedent of being able to charge someone possibly on their own private property with a crime that they have infact not committed simply because they are doing something that is perfectly legal and in fact constitutionally-protected. Not sure about you but there's seems to be a few things in there that seem jussssssttttt a bit sketchy!

Ok then Captain genious where is all the out rage about my constitionaly protect rights being broken during the youth hunts? Isn't this about a law? If that law were past they wouldn't be doing something perfectly legal. That's kind of the point here.

Just because they make a law doesn't mean shit....They get turned over all the time hell just look at every single time they try to pass some sort of the abortion bill. All it takes is one person willing to pay the bill to take them to court and boom law goes up in flames. So tell us where and how a person's second amendment rights disappear even on their own property!

I admire your persistence. But what do you have against baby's?

Yes the warden would have to show intent for the charge to stick. Like being out with another deer Hunter. I'm not saying I think this law should get passed. But every year there are more and more idiots hitting the fields. Can you blame them for taking input on ways to fix it?

nothing against babies it's just there to show that the state puts laws into place all the time that have no ability to stand up in court and the abortion ones are an easy example because they get sued every time they try and the law gets tossed.

Every body got fat and lazy in the gf days of handing out tags like no tommorow. Hey shoot my bonus doe if u see one. We are now a society of special interest. In stead of concentrating what is good as a whole they concentrate on one little item. Law has been on the books for years it's hard to enforce no doubt Imo not much is going on. The only person that should get ticketed fined jail time is Randy for giving away all the tags and in effect ruining our deer herd. I had a chance to hunt out west in limited muley tag country this fall. The management on tags worked. Weather my a$$. If the tags would of been managed we would not have the low tag numbers.

With regards to Barney's. Take em to court. Cell phone cams. I had a warden stop me and I was in plain clothes I put my cam on and then asked him why he is asking me to open my chamber as I am not hunting. We went back and forth and finally he said go. You have rights use em.

Curious..... For those that are AGAINST party hunting, do you have similar principles for party fishing?? Do you put your rods away when you max catch is attained and go without line in the water until the other members in the boat catch their limit?

No, I crack a beer, continue fishing and catch and release, while making fun of the inferior anglers who don't yet have their limit.

Here is food for thought, since we all know party hunting is going on and G&F probably does also, and they seem to look the other way or seems to be a hard thing to manage. My thought was if you wanted to party hunt everyone in the party has to place their names on the same application together and be present together at all times! Then you won’t get mom’s, daughter, grandpa’s in homes and other so and so names be used for tags. These party hunters would all be associated to the same tags and all their names would be listed on all of the tags together. All for one and no one for all, as everyone in the group hunts to fill those tags. G&F would then give out fines knowing these people are hunting together and if one person is missing there is your fine. I believe this is similar to how Minnesota or other states do this. I think this would end all problems, because I think most people that do game drives for deer are hunting to help each other out and not just over harvest deer. Especially if people are hunting large areas of land. Also, the people that hunt alone should like this problem as the game drivers are pushing the deer of their properties.
