You should look up the definition of hypocrisy. You can’t have it both ways bang on liberals for making shit up while you make shit up.
I didn’t make up anything. Someone stated earlier that he had a known mental issue, or insinuated he did so I simply added that if that was the case he would have been seeing a doctor. And if you can charge the parents you can certainly charge the doctor. You hittin the bong tonight?

In reading this morning, the school talked to the student the day before as he was found searching for ammo on his phone. The day of the killings, he made the drawings and was reported. He was taken out of class and parents were brought in. He claimed his drawings were for a video game he was designing and wanted to be a game designer. The school asked for him to be sent home, but the parents refused. The parents and staff did not feel he was a threat at that time. The school chose to keep him there rather than send him to an empty house. Soon thereafter, he started shooting. There was no mention of a school resource officer until he helped arrest the kid in the bathroom.

Sad, sad deal. I can't say that I believe everything that could have been done was, but I don't know that all involved weren't reasonable. I still say take him out until a threat assessment is done, but if he can BS through it, we're in the same spot. This may just be the worst case scenario of a perfect storm. End of the conversation for me, we will see where it goes.

Oh the school along with the parents will certainly be involved in civil lawsuits. Those of you trying to absolve the parents of any blame and blame the schools instead are the exact reason there are so many entitled little shits these days. Nothing is the parents or kids fault anymore, it’s always the schools or somebody else’s. Raise your damn kids properly and quit blaming every other damn person. You had the little bastards and more often than not their actions are a direct result of shitty parenting.

The school is responsible for keeping kids safe. They failed to do their job to protect those students.

Parents are at fault for most of the kids who have mental health / behavior issues. Bad parenting is the biggest problem in this country.

You can’t charge a doctor or a therapist unless they knew the kid had an actual plan to murder. They are well trained and know when to report this behavior because it is their duty to report. Just because the kid could have mental health issues doesn’t mean they can report them to the authorities.

You are the one that has been hitting the bong a little too hard……… maybe you should close that yap until you actually know what you are talking about

The incompetence that comes out of your mouth is exhausting! I hope no one reads your posts and thinks you know what you are talking about. Pure stupidity, no actual facts…..

Quite the precedence they're setting by charging school counselors for these crimes. Imagine making $55k/year doing damage control for shitty parents and shitty kids only to get charged for crimes you had no idea would happen. School Counselors may do threat assessments, but its to for self harm. If I'm able to predict which kid is going to light up his/her school, I'm putting that info into a book and I'm banking some cash. The counselors/admin gave their assessment and the parents refused to follow instructions.

Why didn't the school include the resource officer that was on site ?

This is from a statement the school released, their version of the meeting. If the trained counselors came to this conclusion why did they request the kid seek counseling within 48 hrs. the school official appear to be contradicting themselves

"At no time did counselors believe the student might harm others based on his behavior, responses and demeanor, which appeared calm," Throne said.
Upon the parents' arrival, the school counselors asked the student "specific probing questions" about his potential for self-harm or harm toward others, Throne said. The answers he provided "led counselors to again conclude he did not intend on committing either self-harm or harm to others," according to the letter.

School counselors told the parents they must seek counseling for their son within 48 hours, otherwise the school would contact Child Protective Services, Throne wrote.
When asked to take their child home for the rest of the day, Throne said the student's parents "flatly refused," leaving their son behind to "return to work." And because the student had no prior disciplinary actions on his record, school counselors decided to allow him to return to his class, rather than send him to what they thought would be an empty home, Throne explained.

Ask yourself this, if you believed there was no criminal intent, would you include an officer? You're answer isn't important to me in the slightest unless you are a school counselor as well. Until then, your opinion doesn't matter. I know that's tough for some people to wrap their head around, but what you think isn't important.
