I've been ignorant when It comes to tax laws but that's all changing. Iv'e been digging deep in the books and things change a lot year to year. Besides not receiving the $1600 credits , I shouldn't even be paying taxes on 230+ acres of class 5 wetland. . Funny thing is that I asked questions about the wetlands VS farmland property tax and land values I wasn't told about this. It's been around since before I bought the property .

If it makes you feel any better it was $1600 last year and only $500 the year before ...rofl...

$ 2100 is better than nothing. I have emails confirming that I signed up for both years and the law is on my side. I have a pretty good feeling that I'll get it for both years.

I posted this before but since 1906 my Grandpa , my dad and I had been paying taxes on 20 acres. After a survey, I found out that chunk is only 13 acres, If I remember correctly the law states that they only need to back pay 1 or 3 years .
There was no way of knowing this until a recent survey, The original surveys were in the late 1800s with chain and link

Weren’t you one of the “tax me harder daddy” crowd. Didn’t you also say something along the lines of “ Leave us farm boys out of your bad decisions”. You seem to be doing a lot of bitching about property tax now, you are getting what you voted for.

Yes, I did say that . I'll pay my taxes and you pay yours.
