Sale Remington 788 222

Remington 788 222, looks to be unfired or shot very little. There is not a mark on the rifle. Bluing is like new as is the stock. Magazine is like new and only marked 222. Has the 24 inch barrel.

I bought my first 788 22-250 from Coast to Coast in Harvey N.D in 1973, for 114.00. I came with a 4 x 32 Universal scope.

I just gave my 223 model 788 to my kid. Crap!

I’ve owned 3 .243’s and don’t have any of them now. 2 of them had short barrels and one had the longer barrel. They were all great shooters. Now I wish I would have kept all 3 .

My friends dad that did a lot of trapping 40 some yrs ago had an old 222 that he used for furbear hunting. That man could shot the lights out. I was with them a couple times on the trapline. Saw him make 2 absolutely fantastic shots. Said the trick is to "know" your gun. Don't need a dozen guns, furbears and a bigger game gun and just learn to shoot them well.
