Is it just me or has the weather generally sucked for like a year and a half plus? A lack of sun, long dreary winters, almost a complete lack of beautiful fall days, and wind.

Seems to be fairly normal ND weather. Do a search of 'wind'...there's a few of these threads every year.

Pre-winter, winter, windy post winter, and road construction. Nothing new in Nd

The worst part is that Ma Nature seems to frown upon those who must recreate on the weekends and smiles upon those who fish Mon-Thurs.

Wind wont stop me from having a good time!! Makes you learn how to fish different, control the boat better, and find spots that produce in big swells!

I'm okay with winds no more than 20mph. Once it gets above that then there's usually gusts that go higher and white caps are all over. THAT is so tough when trying to manage the waves, the sonar, location/mapping run, handling rods and lines, getting pulled off of intended direction, etc. Holy cow. THEN, lose a rig and try to take just one rod with new setup and back in the water??? LOL ohhh yeah,

Agree on the big wind day. Best day crankin I've ever had was in like 4 footers in parshall bout 4 years go. Water comin over the bow as the rods violently bend over. Good times.

There’s a difference between a mudline and half the lake being chocolate milk

The wife and I actually have a cabin rented Sunday thru Tuesday at Hazen Bay. Sounds like a lot of wind and a little rain. First time I have fished in that area, but I think I'm liking the wind, as that should help narrow down the spots to look for fish.
