Something odd............

This morning on my way to work, I saw a buck with both sides of his antlers yet. It was just a small basket rack 3x3, but found it odd to see a deer with antlers this time of year. Anyone else seen this before?

seen them as late as april on good years seems dependant on stress,IMO

Yeah I've seen bucks with racks into April before, depends on how hard the winter, how healthy the deer, etc.

Yep saw one between BSC and Tom O'Leary last week at about 0630. It was a little 3x3 still had both antlers. I thought the same thing...weird.

Last week I saw a small buck inside the refinery fence with both sides yet.

It seems to me to be the smaller racks still hanging on vs the bigger racked bucks. you seeing this as well???

have 3 little ones in the yard with horns yet. 2 both 1 one side. Just found one of the sides of a buck we have been watching that would be close to 140 that dropped last week.

Have found close to 100 sheds so far........lots still under the snow...lots a dead deer as well. She's been a tough winter up nort.

Last year when we were shed hunting. We saw a lot of bucks held their horns until April. Last year wasn't normal with it being a warm winter with little snow.

The deer and elk here still have antlers here. I saw 2 5X5 elk the other morning on my way to the VA.

I was on my way back with my first load of water a little bit ago and saw 6-7 BIG elk all still had their antlers. They were all hanging around in a group so it must be getting close to the time for antlers to drop.
