A hole fisherman are the worst. Don't be a child and cast a jig into a boat. Be a man and ask them to move a little bit. No one owns the water which is why I am leaning more towards fishing these days as the common man hunter gets kept off more and more land.

If you are fishing grano you need to be ok with combat fishing because what else do you expect to happen at a popular spot.

I just hope this post encourages more people to shore fish up there to piss off the a holes who act like kids.

How old are you Riggin? I only ask because you sound very entitled. You don't sound like the type of person who really gives two shits about another outdoorsmen and them having as good a time in the outdoors as you are having.

Haha, say what. Bismarck must be growing some good weed. I am 45. So your saying I should go up there and police everyone. I would be a better person for that? Instead of letting people know the unwritten etiquette to a particular spot so they don't have to go through the hassle of pissing people off.

And THIS right here in red is the end of the conversation as far as I'm concerned. You are part of the problem rignjig and NOT part of the solution.

How am I part of the problem when I am just stating facts of that particular area. If you go in there with a boat during the hot bite your asking for trouble. Have I ever personally harassed someone in a boat or on shore if they were there first? No I haven't. I will say something if someone moves in on me when there is space to fish somewhere else.

Why is it the guy with the boat asking for trouble and not the other way around.... seems like were arguing something that has no real conclusion.... why can't I have a crack at the "hot bite"

The bite must be so hot up there right now that people loose sight of rational thinking and throw jigs with the wind!!!

See what I did there!

Exactly, I am always armed to the teeth when I go to Grano. It’s called the “hood” of North Dakota for a reason.

I wonder why the law favors shore fishermen?

From the ND Fishing Regulations Guide: No person may operate a motorboat (includes personal watercraft) within 100 feet of a person fishing from a shoreline, a swimmer, swimming/diving raft, or an occupied, anchored or nonmotorized vessel, or within 250 feet of a reduced speed or slow or nowake sign at greater than slow or no-wake speed.

You'd be shocked how close 100ft is when you are outside. 33 yds is a chipshot. Most shorepeople are annoyed at about 150-175 ft if I was to guess. And that includes me. Ha ha.

Somebody already mentioned something like only 5-6 or so boat lengths, depending on size of boat.

So.. according to the law, it does not matter who got there first?

Maybe the nasty shorefishermen thought it was 100 yards?

A 21' boat would be 4.7619 boat lengths to be exact! That's not far away, perhaps the game and fish underestimates how far an a-hole can cast?

Don't know what all the excitement was about. I watched 10 people, including me, fish from shore and 4 people fishing in 2 boats and all I seen caught (if you were fishing with live bait) were bullheads. I fished with a jig and plastics and got 0.:( The one boat was fishing on the south side and he used his electric motor to go under the bridge to the north side. Maybe I should of started hollering at him and dropped a few jigs on them. :;:stirthepot ;:;rofl

The guy I saw catching eyes one after the other I think was using a plastic that had either a brown or green body with a white tail... fishing under the bridge on the East side.... to bad you didn't get any tonight... the guy that casted at my boat was using a green jig head with a white twister tail... don't use what he was using cause clearly he is messed up to begin with....all 3 of us tried jig and minnow and jig and plastic with 0 also
