I gave up starting youth on a 410 it's good for paper but for clays and first birds I use a 28gauge and have had way better outcomes

The only times I did worth a damn with a .410 870 on trap was by straight up aiming and forcing a perceived ridiculously long lead. I'd love to try one which fit me:
