This is what was just brought to my attention. From what I gathered the squater issue is big in the west on abondoned farmsteads. I'm just stating the facts that this bill was originally introduced having other other issues raised that had nothing to do with hunting. If the law is not correct from what I gathered just state the law and not just the bullshit flag. Does nothing to justify the facts...
the squatter issue is no longer an issue out here. and there are plenty of laws to stop it if they would choose to enforce em. you trying to tell me if somebody entered your property and you told them to leave there are no laws to protect you? lol

was told by a warden the only thing 'stronger' than a poster was the landowner asking you to leave

It's a call to the sheriff not the warden if it's trespassing and you want them prosecuted

How are this for facts it took me a whole two minutes to find this and I am not a lawyer, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night

12.1-22-03. Criminal trespass.

  1. An individual is guilty of a class C felony if, knowing that that individual is not licensedor privileged to do so, the individual enters or remains in a dwelling or in highlysecured premises.
  2. An individual is guilty of a class A misdemeanor if, knowing that that individual is notlicensed or privileged to do so, the individual:
    1. Enters or remains in or on any building, occupied structure, or storage structure,
      or separately secured or occupied portion thereof; or
    2. Enters or remains in any place so enclosed as manifestly to exclude intruders.
  3. An individual is guilty of a class B misdemeanor if, knowing that that individual is notlicensed or privileged to do so, the individual enters or remains in any place as towhich notice against trespass is given by actual communication to the actor by theindividual in charge of the premises or other authorized individual or by posting in amanner reasonably likely to come to the attention of intruders. The name of the personposting the premises must appear on each sign in legible characters. An individualwho violates this subsection is guilty of a class A misdemeanor for the second orsubsequent offense within a two-year period
  4. An individual is guilty of a class B misdemeanor if that individual remains upon theproperty of another after being requested to leave the property by a duly authorizedindividual. An individual who violates this subsection is guilty of a class A misdemeanorfor the second or subsequent offense within a two-year period.
  5. This section does not apply to a peace officer in the course of discharging the peaceofficer's official duties.

yea some act like there are no existing laws. it's just like guns, enforce the existing laws and we wouldn't have a problem.
