This was fully expected. Obama will go out looking like a hero to the natives and Trump will come in and EO this and the XL and we'll get on with it. Shouldn't surprise anybody. I think it was common knowledge this was how it was going to end up anyway.

You predicted this?

I think the thing I most look forward to under the Trump presidency is a return to law and order.

They are renting out the Pavilion from the casino. Pretty much anyone can rent it for the right price.

This may bankrupt ETP but someone will buy it up and finish this last drill for a screaming deal. Trump will grant this easement without question. He may even bring in federal protection.

I think you're right, Eyexer. Deny the pipeline, everything de-escalates, rioters go home, Trump comes in and waves his tiny orange hands and the pipeline is suddenly approved and in it goes while no one is looking.

sounds like the construction company is going to drill it anyway and pay the fines. I'd bet the liquid damages for being late with the finish is far more than the fines. I don't think the corp would beat them in court anyway considering they had a full blown permit issued to them.

Idk I'd be surprised if this is in the top ten of thinks Trump will give a crap about. I get the feeling he might just say move the damn thing and get it over with.

I didn't predict it. It was something that's been discussed ever since this all started. this shouldn't surprise anybody.

"Fully expected". Why didn't you brace me for it then? This surprised me.

Please reference the many posts where everyone fully expected this. I missed them.

been quite awhile since it was talked about I guess. Figured most people knew this was a high likelihood. Doesn't sound like it's going to matter anyway, word is they will drill anyway. I don't know how serious they are but they did talk about doing that anyway. I think it was probably 4-6 weeks ago that it was discussed by them. they will have to pay a shit pile in liquid damages so that is a huge consideration. I imagine a lot will depend on how long they think it's going to take the court process to play out. there are several cases pending regarding this.

I have read that trump is heavily invested in ETP so I would guess it is right up there for him.

Wow. If he is invested with him he'd be opening himself up to a world of crap if he did act in his own favor. The Dems in congress would be screaming about it while most have kept sort of quiet so far.

That would be insanely ballsy and probably not the best idea just before getting into court battle. up until that point the pipeline people were on the right side of the law but do that and the whole ballgame changes.

Ahhh the left has been batching about it and it's been all over just about every news outlet there is.

I don't think so. They have the original permit to do this. There should have been no reason to rescind. 1600 miles of pipe put in prior. No court is going to side with the ACOE on that.

Don't ever forget that Trump has balls, Especially when it comes to financial decisions that involve Trump.
