Got one that worked decent at first, performance kind of tapered off quickly after a few seasons, now that we have been married for 13yrs it don't work worth a darn.

I'd go with Klotz or Red Armor oil that doesn't stink. The difference between those and standard 2 stroke oil is astonishing.

You're gonna hate the weak flow of a battery unit

I think the arrestors get plugged/fouled, right? The equivalent to getting a potato shoved up your tailpipe.

Yes - I know somebody is gonna run with that last sentence. :sneaky:

Should have bought the fancy model. LB

I looked at the upgrade units and I couldn't justify the cost knowing that the same issue will likely occur. I remember when dad got one of these on an auction sale, provided lots of entertainment for me brush hogging. Looking back I had an odd sense of "fun" the harder I worked the happier I was, now some of those projects make me grumpy. I will say I was in darn good shape though

I still use the old one about a dozen times a year. Shit just flies when you get after it. ...rockon...

The mistake you made was marrying your "blower".....seems they stop working immediately when that happens! Maybe I misinterpreted your post

How does the old Rodney Carrington line go? "When she says I do that means, I don't do that no more"
