I need to get my wife to give lessons in how to pack an entire house in a small car. She is legendary at Kists livestock and the vet clinics for hauling animals around in her car which is a VW Jetta. Heck this spring she bought 2 week old bull calves and hauled them both home in the trunk of her car at the same time.
As far as needing an AWD or 4X4 for ND country living I also have to laugh at too. My wife has clocked near 700K miles on 3 cars and in the last 19 years of living 30 miles from town she has gotten stuck one time. Studded snow tires have more than proven themselves by me and her.
She can handle the big rigs just as well too, good farm girl.

I have been hauling my 2 youngest kids to school every morning, and every morning about 100 "wives" come driving through in theIr suburbans to drop their one kid off. They turn wide, park with the tail end of the totally unnecessary giant grocery getter hanging in the driving lane, take up 2 spots when parked, feel it necessary stop in the center of the road at a stop sign making it impossible for anyone turning right able to get to the right side and turn when traffic is busy from the other direction.

Any of you guys buy these huge vehicles for your incapable wife to drive? And if so why? Is it a status thing trying to show off your extreme wealth with the old lady driving a 70,000 vehicle? Maybe it's that one to two kids you have each need their own row of seats, or is it the 6 bags of groceries the old lady might pick up won't fit in a vehicle she is actually capable of driving.

Rant over, but G damn it teach the girl how to drive the big sonsabitches.

Bingo. Gotta look like a big deal. And don't get me started on the ones that drive the escalades. Apparently a Yukon Denali isnt nice enough?

Funny how it is not ok to have a 70 k rig that is used every day but it is good to have a 90 k boat used 6 months out of the year. Things that make you go hmm....

even funnier when there's people who make huge payments each month to have both.

Let's not forget the heavy cell phone usage.

They need a vehicle just under CDL requirements and must have a giant cell phone for every stop light where they can check pinterest and think, " a mason jar with rocks in it that lights up and doubles as a scentsy! I should buy one of those, that would look REALLY NICE on our living room table!"

Oh yea juanr I hear ya. I deal with drop off lanes of sorts in the morning and there is all sorts of shenanigans going on. Most days o tell my boy to just get out and I'll find my way out eventually. There is some monster rides that make my f-150 look puny. My rate irritations thought come from the bozos that show up every morning with a cig hanging out of her mouth with kids in the car (pretty sure that's illegal these days but in not a big fan of laws over common sense crap) and talking on the phone. Holy shit it drives me crazy. Oh ya that and the pokemoms, driving less than idle speed half in the driving and half in the parking lane, phone on the wheel looking for cartoon characters. Quite often it's the same folks that cause the gong show in the morning.

You'd be amazed how many people are actually DOING that! To them, it's affordable as long as they come in monthly installments and the payment window is out to 8yrs for the truck and 10yrs on the boat loan.

First I get your frustration at school…good gawd are people stupid…and yes most of them women…I am super happy this year as the last crumb snatcher is now riding the bus daily and I don’t have deal with the idiocy of school drop off and pick up…
…Big SUV I had to beg my wife to drive a full size SUV…I still wanted the space and comfort in the garage but wanted a pickup of my own…it took a while to get use to but she loves it now and likes the sitting up above the stupidity especially on busy interstate around town…I like that’s its solid and safe and don’t have to worry about her in the winter time.
…as far as the status thing goes, maybe but I think it’s more like, I want to drive a sporty car but you’re making me drive this big bus around so I am going to get every bell and whistle I can…compromise…

my own little list of worst drivers, from my own experience
1. ANY vehicle with Wisconsin plates
2. Any Canadian vehicle
3. Any Blue plated vehicle
4. Any female ND driver
5. Any vehicle with SD plates
6. Any vehicle plate east of the Mississippi

I love seeing people with 90k boat pulled by a $1400 pickup that leaks oil.

It's a wonder if most of you aren't divorced three times and/or don't get a lot of sex with the lack of respect shown towards the opposite sex. I almost feel sorry for you.......but not really.

For the record, my wife agrees that she drives like a psycho. She can burn up tires and brakes like no tomorrow.

you ever try to load 3 kids, a 2 kid stroller, a weekends worth of hunting gear, a pack and play and all the wifes luggage in a prius? It doesn't work.

Why would you take her luggage with if she's not going? Leave her at home, take the kids, and you're good to go.
