Another few hours of potential family time gone. If your kid works retail.

guess i grew up with stores open on sundays and asking permission to go on private land and deer hunting every year. Odd how a little line makes two places so different.

what if they open at 6 then its 6 hours or maybe they open at 8:30 then its 3.5 hours hell they might never close then its all kinds of hours. Great part of Merica dont work at a store that is open on Sundays if you dont want to work Sundays if you dont want to go to the store on Sunday mornings dont go. If it does cost more than the stores wont be open any way so it will take care of its self but i bet thats not the case

The difference - is that you waited in line to get in the store at 9am to get your shells. While i shot all the roootys and then at noon i was limited and went to my store and picked up more ammo so i was ready Monday am to do it all over again.

Moral of the story --- you roaded roads that had already been roaded !!!!!

retail is dying ---i hope you sold your stock --- even the greats are seeing numbers dip. You will see payroll hours come into play to help the retail world limp along. I live next door to a state that i can go over and shop sundays -- i never shop sunday mornings.

I am with guy though --- i do think no restrictions or make restrictions. Free country -- this pointing to certain businesses is for the birds --- it has been that way forever and it needs to be stopped.

Civilized sportsman dont hunt pheasants till noon and plus there are no pheasants left in ND because there is no habitat and all the land is posted.

It never bothered me to wait. I can see border cities wanting to compete with their MN counterparts.

Simple, when said Kid takes job, tell boss "I ain't working no damn sundays", and if they dont like it. Pound sand. Bottom levels jobs are hard to fill. If your kid is worth a damn they wont have ANY problems working this out with an employer.

And yes, its the beauty of america. Dont like it? Don't work here.....We have all PERSONAL CHOICE. These blue laws are absolutely crazy. Government telling you when and what you can/can't do. Get out of my business.

The new law won't state they HAVE to open earlier than noon on sundays. Choice versus a Law saying you cannot be open.

I no longer live in ND so I had no say in this fight. However, here in MN (I know, I know) we recently allowed earlier liquor sales on Sunday which I supported and voiced my opinion on. There are still some restrictions, but better than the Noon or whatever we had. For me it was all about convenience. I had discussions with others who felt the other way. While I disagreed, I never felt the need to tell them they were wrong or that their opinion was not valid. Too much polarization on everything these days. Support what you want, simple as that.

Telling people when they are allowed to earn a paycheck is a liberal rule. Less rules are usually a good thing these days.
