I quit smoking after 20 years on may 1st 2015 and put a lot of weight on after that. I broke down and bought a expensive clothes rack (elliptical) yesterday. I am starting my hopefully new lifestyle at 260 pounds at 6'3". I drink about eight 12oz to 20oz Mountain Dews a day at work, plus my morning coffee with cream right now. My ultimate goal is to drop about 50 pounds and hopefully my knee pain will start to subside. I don't know whats going to work for me but hopefully I can get back into shape and back to really enjoying the hunting seasons instead of being winded all the time.

I tote around an extra 25lbs just to keep the chicks away. I lose that weight and I got babes crawling all over me.

and an affliction or tapout t-shirt, aka a douche-cape

AND a massive energy drink that you barely crack open, allowing you to make that awesome sucking/slurping noise every time you tip it bottoms up!!

How many days a week do you grind? I have started hitting it again in the morning. I just need some of those white framed glasses and some tats now.

i am on the morning work out and evening walking the river hills with a pack on grind.

guy i think the skate fags stole that from wrestlers who have been embracing the grind from way back.

Ha ha. I saw a guy yesterday that was all tatted up with biceps as big as his head with toothpicks for legs. Made me chuckle.

the technical term is hasselhoffing

Let's Go Grind

When a Hawaiian friend says, "Hey, pau hana let's go my house for grind. We got plenty ono pupu-poke, musubi, might even be some pipikaula and po'i in the fridge," don't hold your stomach (or cover your ears) in bewilderment. Pupu (hors d'oeuvres) and pipikaula (dried beef) are perfectly acceptable subjects in polite company, poke has nothing to do with sticks and musubi isn't a Japanese conglomerate. They're all tasty "grinds," the local term for food, or to eat.

I have been to Hawaii twice and fresh po'i is excellent. We had a store right across from the place we were staying that i bought it and made it while sitting on the balcony drinking beer and watching wales.

You must have amazing eyes! ;:;rofl

That reminds me.

I was at the bar the other night with my buddy having some beers. We had been there a while when two large girls came up to the bar and ordered some drinks. I noticed when they ordered they both had strong accents so I said ‘Hi, are you two girls from Scotland?’ One of them spoke up, with quite an attitude and said ‘it’s WALES you idiot!!!’
So I immediately said ‘Sorry, are you two Whales from Scotland?’

Great news! Congrats on dropping the pounds.

What are the plans to build your endurance and strength? If your up to it, I'd suggest running. It's a slow process if you've never ran much before, but it's an amazing endurance and cardio builder. Plus, you can do it anywhere. No special tools. No extra training. Just get out and run.

I was in the best shape of my life when I got into running seriously. I'm getting back there now that I'm doing more strength training, but I miss the ability to jump out the door and bust out 7 miles at the drop of a hat. Quite a freeing experience.

I used to run alot but not by choice it was for DS Huff. I hate running on flat ground i have been running trails when i dont hike with the pack on. For strength training i have been doing a kettle bell program and getting stronger started with a 15 lb one and now moved up to a 25 lb one. I am sitting right at 165 now and have been for the last month. Kinda going with the eat to perform diet and my energy and endurance have shot through the roof. Its designed for cross fit but i fell fits in well with hunting. Might try the train to hunt program this winter to switch things up. Working out has taken the place of chewing for me and really dont feel right when i miss a day
