Had a lightning strike that lit the whole house up. Flash and boom was the same time. This was about 1 am. Then got a hell of a light show for quite awhile. Rain gauge said 1 and 1/2 in of rain this morn. No damage from lightning strike that I can see. LB

Had a heck of a lightning and thunder show as well .5in rain and thankfully didn't loose anymore trees. Still cleaning up from last week and will be for a while. Thankfully no major building or vehicle damage last week

Just a few pictures for an idea. These are just what was in the yard, got 800yds of 35yr old pines that have some damage in the field, other giant cottonwood that around outside of the yard, other trees twisted up north of house, .5mi east lots of big oak and big ash damage in one of our pastures.

And the insurance companies are saying "Oh boy, now we can raise our home-owners' and vehicle rates even higher"!

I'm not putting anything to insurance. That red truck hasn't had insurance for a few years, got a little fixing to do that I haven't got to. Believe it or not the tree that landed on the front didn't do any damage and the one laying on back put about a hand sized dent.

depressing

one thing for sure is the fish actually luv it - the ones that are effected by cold fronts even more they dig it when it warms. I cannot take off my one favorite rig this year. caught bigguns on ---largest senko you can buy add pencil weight and rig wacky style. Last sunday -- a walleye comes flying out of 3 foot of water (bass are in 8-12fow) comes shooting out of the water with that senko in her mouth. Not exactly high enough iq to grab it correctly so he she his it 3 times until hook was set.

But we need more summer.

Fuck summer after monday working outside in 100 degree bullshit. I love when the days start getting shorter and fall is here. Fall spring winter and summer in that order by a long ways. 30's with a brisk north wind make me smile especially in late october.
