I know a fellow who purchased the new Ford with auto drive. From Jamestown to Bismarck one day he used it and I don't think his wife knew. He has a terrible time staying awake. Upon arrival in Jamestown his wife said " that went well". He didn't tell her he slept half the way.
Which vehicle is this? I have a new F-150 Powerboost with Bluecruise. It does drive itself but it does not let you sleep. There's sensors in the dash that watch your face. If you close your eyes, alarms go off. If you look in any direction other than straight forward, alarms go off. I tried to wear dark sunglasses and it could still tell if I closed my eyes.

Ok that would drive me nuts. I like to look at scenery while I drive!

It was a 90 day trial and then $50 a month after. I did not renew it since it really only works on the interstate. You can put lane assist on and then put something heavy on the steering wheel such as an ankle weight to mimic holding it and it will also drive itself. But again, you have to keep looking forward. It will even catch you looking at the screen if you are changing music or looking at mapping.

wonder if the Interstate will be more dangerous during white out conditions ? last couple of storms , people stopped in the right driving lane VS pulling onto the right shoulder.
