I don't think any religion is wrong..it's what you personally want. I believe what I want and for me that is right. The next guy has his own beliefs..who am I to make him believe what I believe?
I’m exactly there my self. It’s the corruption in all churches that is off putting.

One thing I learned from being in a strict Lutheran church those up front putting the show on were the ones there for the social standing.

Maybe I'm committing a sin by saying it but I think this current Pope is straight up evil. He was not even popular in His own country and Im sure its because they know him better than we do. He is hard core socialist, he hasn't met a brutal dictator he hasn't liked. What sealed it for me was when Isis was on it world tour and beheading christians left and right. It took him way too long to denounce the jihadists. He bends over backwards to tell us all how great the muslims are. And how evil we are for not wanting unlimited illegal immigration here and in the modern countries over seas. Wars, famine and child trafficking going on world wide and he assures us that climate change is our biggest threat. Typical commie.

It has been attempted many times to PROVE the bible but its never been successful that I have seen.

Best part about living in the USA is that you can believe what you want to!
First off, doing good deeds does not get one to heaven. There are over 400 archeological finds that support the Bible

By the posts on this thread, I’d say most people leave Christianity because they DON’T get the “warm and fuzzy” feelings of their lifestyle being affirmed, but their lifestyle being challenged.

Oh man.. not gonna say names but this reminds me of a Lutheran pastor in bismarck...will talk a big game but the realty behind him is exactly the opposite. All I can think of when I am around him is..this guy is a religious leader? WTF I don't think this just Lutheran either its just the one that stands out the most for me. Seems like the people with the loudest I am religious follow me tend to be the biggest hypocrites around..

I know evil is a strong word but.....man I am leaning towards what you have said..doesn't make sense to me with his views...seems very anti religious/catholic on his views. What would the opposite be..is that evil?...thinking so.

With respect, if this is what you believe, how can you also say that what the pope is saying/doing is wrong? I think what he’s doing is wrong because it seemingly contradicts the teachings of the Bible and 2000 years of the Church’s tradition.
Basically, if anything goes then why do you think he’s wrong/evil?

I would say on the catholic side it may be more along the lines they don't want to support pedophiles or have there money going to support that. I get alot of catholic/lutheran leaders will say leaving the religion is the easy path and that's not what God wanted. Its always the tougher path..etc(not good at putting this into words) but I know people that have left the catholic church specifically because of the pedophile issues that they continue to try and hide..remember the church members donations go to this.

Because it goes against my beliefs. I don't think anything goes..but I am not pushing my beliefs on anyone. To add what you typed is why I think it's evil..but again those are my beliefs and don't think it is for everyone.

Theres no sin in NOT supporting what you don't belive in. Doesn't matter if it's the Pope or a drunk in the back ally. They are only human.

Every church I know is a 501C3 corporation. Every corporation is an artificial entity created by man. Corporation defined. - A corporation is an artificial being created by operation of law having the right of succession and the powers, attributes and properties expressly authorized by law or incident to its existence. Churches are artificial. So is their dogma. My Heavenly Father is real. His Son, The Christ, is real. His Word is real. The Holy Spirit is real. How do I know you ask. Evil people wouldn't work so hard to remove all reference of Him from public schools or buildings or work so hard to destroy His teachings and His Word if he was as artificial as the churches. I won't even go into personal experiences or faith. Stay Safe Fellas.

I believe the pope is being influenced by someone very powerful, I agree his decision are not the teachings of the Bible.

#45:
According to the weirdness I like to watch; this is the last pope: Lightning struck St. Peter's when he was confirmed.

Also, the most common Holy Bible is all pieced together and approved by the Catholic Church to fit their agenda. I have conflicted feelings about the Church as it seems to provide tangible evidence from time to time. God save me.

I'm impressed that the words of the profits come true, sometimes like Isaiah 700 years later. I went to Minneapolis a couple years ago to see a copy of the Dead Sea scrolls. Thirteen hundred years older than previouse copies and not one word has changed.
When it comes to Jesus records of the secular historians and the Bible agree.
It matters not how good you are, but if you believe in Jesus. It all rides on John 3:16.
There are many types of Lutheran churches. For example the ELCA will give the pope a run for most evil. Like politics the liberal churches today preach earthly things while Churches like Missiuri Synod, Free Lutheran, and Lutheran brotheren hold to the same beliefs as the first century church. To many people have a Hollywood view of Christians? the Bible, and the church.

My big issue with RELIGION is thought control and group think with numerous examples of hypocrisy. I'm not in approval of the antics performed on Galileo, Copernicus, Bruno, The Knight's Templar etc:

Persecuted for teaching basic nature and obtaining more wealth than the "church" by narcissists: AFTER fighting the Crusades to recover/preserve relics of Christ.
