Who remembers the total Eclipse we had here in ND, think it was 1979, remember a herd of Antelope running in circles, it was a neat thing to see

I do, stood in the parking lot of Magic City Campus (graduated 80) and watched it.

Seen the other day that hotels in the total eclipse zone that usually charge $90 for a night are charging over $900. ...lame...

I was in grade school, it was kind of cloudy so don't remember seeing anything much.

I dont remember that one, but I remember one when I was a kid in the late 1950s or early 1960s. I was waist deep in a hay stack doing the stacking. It had to be in the high 90° or even 100 in the early afternoon. I was 10 or 12 years old, old enough to be in a haystack, but totally unaware of what was going on. Not only did it get dark, but I think it felt cooler. At least it took my mind off my socks full of hayneedles.

When I was a kid we just stared at the sun. It stops hurting after a while, you pussies.

Later that night we felt like we had sand in our eyes.

My night vision sucks now BTW. We weren't the sharpest pencils in the drawer.
