Amazing how the river opened up between last Monday and Saturday. Has anyone heard which ramps are open? I heard Wilton was open but haven't heard anything about the ones in and around Bis/Mandan.

Reminder, make sure you have your new boat tags on.

Also, I saw an article in Dakota Country where Game and Fish is looking at options for reconstructing the Rifle Range ramp. That would be great.

The Rifle Range ramp has been in the wrong place for a while. A strong swirling current is not the best place for a ramp. The channel that sneaks back towards the bluffs has been there forever. I've always thought the ramp should be up there. Just a thought.

Guessing (hoping) they'll try to plow out Grant Marsh and Fox today or tomorrow.

The river is open as far as I could see at Oahe Bend. But around the corner to the west is hard to say. There should be some serious melting today but the Corp is not letting a lot of water out.

Don’t think so. Muddy water this week will be poop for fishing so hopefully it gives the fellas plenty of time to get the ramps and docks ready.

Dock was pulled from Fox Island ramp yesterday morning 12/22/2023. Thanks and kudos to Bismarck Parks and Rec for keeping it in as long as they did.

First time in a boat in January for me ever yesterday, beautiful day. Guessing this will be it as the water temp was 32.5 with a fair amount of ice floating around and temps getting colder this week. Bite was still pretty good, lots of 12-14" fish with some bigger mixed in.

Lincoln, kinda...
At this point, how far south does one have to go to find a continuous sheet of ice across the Missouri?
