When DL was rising there was an FLW in town and I saw one of the coolest moves ever to make it over the old railroad tressel in Pelican. There was a spot that was just a hair deeper on the east side and was more sandy on top than rocky. This 621 Ranger came at it full bore and we were cranking there thinking WTF! As he got closer he trimmed way up and was shooting a pretty good rooster (I think the older Evinrudes let you trim a bit higher). At the last second, he let off and basically belly skipped over the old railroad. Motor came completely out of the water at the perfect second. Then it was full throttle again on the other side. I looked at my fishing partner and said "that has to be one of the coolest moves I've ever seen"......
