Yep I am about the same , got ruined as a young guy ice fishing with crow bars and ice picks .

Negatory, as of Thursday. Audubon was iced over but looks really sketchy.

A couple boats out on Douglas Bay today. Beautiful day

A few guys off the main boat ramp at Totton Trail. Two Ice Castles with pickups on Nelson bay, they drove all the way across the bay too. A few other wheel houses on Nelson bay and also up by Turtle Lake boat ramp but looked like they may have pulled them out with wheelers. Ballzy

Hit pipestem today. After the second move I busted my electrical drill adapter on the ice auger. Had to run to town to fix and hope to hit the ice tomorrow. J-Town reservoir had a bunch of open water yet. A few people fishing there though.

A few years ago at this time; I threw a grasshopper or some such in a Fla farm pond and shot a hellacious shellcracker with a pellet gun. It "side circled" right up to the bank which was convenient. It fed three of us just fine with the fries, slaw and corn fritters. Side note--the pellet was stopped by the offside gill plate.
