Well if a sharp shinned hawk is the size of a blue jay, then this must be a coopers as this one is twice the size of a blue jay. Sorry I didn't get any more pics. He boogied right after I took the pics and grabbed some fast food on his way out.

Negative. A chicken hawk is a colloquial term for a northern harrier. As far as I'm aware.

I figured as much, although I've seen both in the Sheyenne River valley.
