I am curious as to how many of you have packed it in for this ice season. A guy can already get the boat out on the Missouri River.

Are you still all in on the ice ... or are you getting that boat ready (or already on soft water)?

im doing pretty well this ice season. not ready for it to be over yet, that being said the boat is almost ready to hit the open water, all batteries are ready, the inside detailed, i went through the open water gear and put it all in order. so i can do either. but give me a few more weekends of hard water

I've already tied 3 rolls of spinner sets with different variations while watching the NFL playoff games in January. I sit in my recline downstairs, turn on the fireplace, and when I'm done tying off a rid I hang it by the hook on the edge of the lampshade. When finished, I bring in my tackle buddy's and roll everything up. A double roll of slow deaths, a double roll of single-hook spinners, and a double roll of crawler rigs ready for 2016.

A new battery in the i-Pilot remote; batteries ready for the boat; oil & filters changed; etc.

All I need to do is get some petro in the gas tanks and it is water ready!!

Probably hitting the ice for the last time this coming weekend. Has been a good season for me. Only 3 busts out of about 15 days. The good news about living in Bismarck is that i can quit ice fishing one weekend and be in the boat the next.

March is my favorite perch month and the best time to catch the fish at their biggest size of the year. I do not want to even think of getting the long rods out until april.

Let me know if you need a partner this spring. I can/could meet you south of Bis. I get sick at work real easy in the spring, LOL.

boat is ready other than I need to put the new tail lights on it. was hoping to go out this week a few times but drove by Northgate and all the houses are off the water now and there is water standing along shore as well as at the boat ramp so I am not sure if I will be able to access the ice, out in the middle yesterday it was still 16-18 inches thick.

Currently filling the tank with what will likely be the cheapest we'll see gas this year, probably wait a couple weeks for solid 50s before it gets wet though.

March use to be some of my favorite ice fishing, chasing panfish and tulibee. But the past few winters just haven't met my expectations.

I'll probably break the long rods out for some shore fishing in the next few weeks. First boat trip will be up to the Rainy for some sturgeon the end of April.

Still pounding on the perch in my neck of the woods, but painting jigs, changing line on the long rods, checking equipment, and organizing my tackle boxes in anticipation of spring muddin' in between checking snares, skinning coyotes, and going through the garage.
