Hey BBJ!!

Whens the yard sale? :;:smokin

Hope i don't have to have one!!! Will be a big one if all goes south.
Got our walls and roof up on our house in Payson. Was suppose to be down there on May 14th but Doctor said " I highly recommend you don't leave town at all". So will go down once he cuts me loose. Will have to stop the building once they get to electrical and plumbing rough in as we want to show them where we want eveything.

I understand how you feel and will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, don't forget the $2500 I loaned you.

Didn't you get my check in the mail???

Hang in there BBJ. A couple of bumps in the road, that's all. Too many fish to catch, critters to watch, sunshine to catch, and life to live. Figure if God had a job for you upstairs, you'd be hard at it right now. Sent a request to keep that job unfilled for awhile though. (Wink)

That is the way i look at things. If God wants me it will happen when he wants and on his terms. Figured he needs me to do some things yet here on this earth.

Not yet, are you sure you sent it?

Maybe you should send a second one to make sure I get it. :;:smokin

This reminds me of our refrigerator warranty. Fridge quit and they "supposedly" sent a check on May 10th from Texas. Call them every day since May 16th and so far nothing. Will have to let my bride handle it as it riles me up too much talking with them and "suppose to remain calm" ! LOL

I'll be praying for you bbj. I'm up for surgery again on my right knee, and again on my right shoulder. Old and pain doesn't let us suffer fools or greedy without giving them a dose of reality.

Physically I am like a chubby 30 yr old, but my eyesight is starting to fade. As the day goes on it seems I can’t read small print, low light makes things blend together, and seems my pecker shrunk...haha

Had an old buddy out in Montana about 20 years ago and he was 70 something then. Had a place up in the mountains that we would go and visit the old geezer. Heck of a nice guy. He had a sign out in his yard that was over his driveway that said, " DEAD PECKER GANG".
Used to laugh at it everytime we pulled in the yard!

Good luck BBJ! Those C endarterectomies usually go well, though there are always risks, Definitely worth it to get more blood to the noggin and avoid more strokes, though.
I had a weird stroke following my 2nd back surgery, but a million dollar workup afterwards showed it was from a migraine, and luckily Imhad good wide open arteries. Took several years to,get my vision completely back and remember oddball stuff like how to tie different knots! Luckily completely recovered.
Pulling for you BBJ! We should compare back XRays sometime. See whose is worst!
Yep getting old is crap, but it’s better to fertilize the the grass from the top than the bottom!

Been there, BBJ. Had a stroke when I was a senior in high school. Helps you appreciate the little things and learn to not take some things too seriously (its impossible to let everything go, even I know that). Hang in there. Sounds like they have a good plan to get you into better shape. Good luck to you!

I do know about the getting old stuff is only for the hard core. No surgeries until was 62 and then 11 surgeries in the last 11 years. I'm now two weeks into recovering from a detached retina. Probably won't have final good vision in my right (dominant) eye for 4 to 6 more weeks. Depth perception sucks. I have to put the wine bottle down on the edge of the glass so I don't pour wine all over the table.

ps: I was a slow learner and had to clean up several messes!

I was told once many years ago that "You are only as old as the girl you are holding!" You Lou are a YOUNG man!

ps: I'm 5 years younger when we go to bed!

A lot of truth in some of these posts about staying feeling and thinking young. Some good research has shown that older people who continue to associate a lot with younger people, like grandkids, youth groups (church, scouts, hunter ed I suppose, coaching, mentoring young people, e5c. ) do much better physically and emotionally than those who don’t.

I do not think there is a joint or whatever that is not hurting. Not so bad and only when I think about it or sometimes move. No hospital and no pills for either me or the wife.
Still at my desk job so it helps with the brain being active but that is beginning to move south.
But as you stated I feel I need to keep pushing on the brain and body even though there are issues if I going to make it to 102. Seems I sleep a lot less these days.
It just like this morning, sometimes it is hard to keep the push going. The 30 minute trike ride to work is getting old with the temp at 50 degrees.
But I assume for broken back with all those issues it is even harder to keep the push going. So I feel lucky and I still have my Old Mill and I still enjoy drinking those cans.
So as soon as I can connect with the elk guy up here will start taking the elk horn pill. We all get old, sometimes it is just hard to deal with including all the issues one gets over time.
So yes, for me its to keep that brain thinking with way it needs to think. db-2
