I did 79 on a jet ski last summer, but the boat will only get 36 with just me in it. The jet ski was fun but scary as hell when you start hitting a little chop.

my 12' jon with the 6hp johnson flies. Especially with the high jets plugged. I actually got 0 mph when I was fighting the red this spring. Couldn't make it under a bridge with the concentrated current. Going with the current I think I might have got up to 5 mph.

47.5 GPS mph 1850 Reata with merc 150 4s 19p tempest plus prop. 2 adults, 2 kids, full livewell, 3/4 tank of fuel, and 9.9 on the back. Turning 5750 rpms, best ever was 49.3 by myself and 1/4 tank of fuel.

WX1880 and a 200 hpdi. Best its ever done is 62.7. But on the lake with 2 guys tourney loaded it runs between 55.5 and 58.

Fishing tourneys are more of a boat race than fishing these days. Boat speed costs more money than any tourney win can account for.

my yarcraft 2095 bt with a 200 v-rod and 19P 3 blade tempest ss prop gets 53.0 mph at 6400rpm with just me in the boat. Add another person and I get down to 52mph. It's almost too fast though without a windshield.

Tourney loaded I assume means loaded with everything you need for the tourney.Plus the kitchen sink.

my Alumacraft TP175 tiller 90HP 4-stroke does 32-34 mph fully loaded (and my boat is always fully loaded - passengers or not!)

But I just bought a new prop - my big white johnson has always been capable of over-reving so I jumped up in pitch

I am pumped to get it on the water and experience 34-36 MPH!!! :;:rockit

Webster's definition

Tourney loaded;
It means a secret live well that you stocked full of 4+ pounders the day before.

My last boat, Triton 189 and a 175hp Merc, topped out at 54mph. Now I have a Skeeter WX185 and a Yamaha 150. That much loss of horsepower was remarkable because now I'm only getting to 42mph.

More the hull design than the HP loss.

Got up to 65 by myself, with two guys easily 60-62 oaded up. Reworked 21p rev 4 250 v rod 620 ranger
most times keep it at 4k rpm and cruise high 30's
Hauling ass for a long distance is not what I do. Fuel ain't that cheap
