never did CPR but i was at a buddys lake place and i could hear a loud kind of groaning coming from across the bay probably half mile away by road but could hear it clear as day across the water, we were sittting at our camp fire having a few drinks and i decided i was gonna walk down to see what was going on, when i got there i could hear rustling in the cabin and looking through the sliding glass door stuff was thrown all over the place, it had looked like somebody had gotten in a fight in the living room upon entering the cabin i saw the man laying on the floor in the hall way holding his chest and sweating profusely i thought he was having a heart attack and upon further inspection of the kitchen i found an insulin bottle and a syringe on the floor so i figured it had something to do with diabetes, well being the smart guy i am i never even thought to bring a phone, so i had to run back to the cabin in my flip flops.. losing both of them along the way and then had my friends call 911 then ran back to the guy and not knowing what to do all i could do was hold his hand as he gave me a look like i have never seen before, finally paramedics got there and i helped to hold him down as he was starting to convulse and they loaded him up with some sort of a solution with an IV and 30 seconds later he was sitting up on his own and talking normally.. quite crazy! my friends had walked over after calling 911 and on the way had spoken to a neighbor who was curious as to what was going on, the neighbor had known that the guy was a bad diabetic and had mentioned that he was drinking earlier in the day and that he did this to himself, i asked him if he had heard the guy moaning as he lived right next door, and he said yes he did and that this isnt he first time and that he has a problem, so that is the first time i have ever ripped into an older man 65-70 i would guess, telling him he was a terrible person for just letting the guy suffer of over there knowing full well what was going on and did nothing... even if the guy was my enemy i wouldnt let something like that happen to someone... just dont understand some people, but that is my story... no mouth to mouth involved.
