having sat in the hospital with cancer for off and on 6 months with multiple complications i will tell you this much if given the choice of dilaudid or mj to stop my pain it sure as hell wasn't going to be mj. those that do not know yes dillaudid is synthetic and addictive as hell but so is NATURAL mj!! I am not against medical at all, legalize the recreational also, WITHOUT thc. As far as being legal across Canada. legal yes in your home ONLY. It will be sold in liquer stores in pre packaged baggies. Go ahead and get caught with an open baggy driving=DUI period!!! At least they have it figured out some what to start, and the great outdoors don't smell like woodstock. jmho i'm out until they fix the way it's written

Thank you for your perspective and God speed on recovery. You shed light on the actual war in the trenches that so many of us have watched loved ones battle. It puts my political rant in perspective. Thank you for sharing your personal experience.

Where is this black market? Asking for a friend

- - - Updated - - -

Friend of a friend actually

Well, currently the black market is simply anywhere it is purchased (in this state anyhow). Currently it's not legal, right? And it IS here, and people ARE buying it and using it, right? So, the black market (I know - it's an inflammatory term) is wherever it is currently bought or sold.

I think he is looking for specifics. Like name and phone number for someone located preferably in Fargo maybe. ;)

opinion based on trying both Davey. Another issue I have is the Rude behavior that will come with smoking ANYWHERE like the people doing the vape shit. They blow that shit out like a whale at an orgy. You can smell it in your car from the guy beside you with the window up.

Oh dont worry about this stuff ok. Just makes you munch and relaxed :::whos believing/spreading the lies? Read this this am.

Bernard Le Foll, a specialist in addiction at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, a leading teaching hospital and research organization, said that although the center supported legalization, he was concerned that the public dissemination of information about risks had been insufficient.

“Cannabis is not a benign substance,” he said. “There is a clear risk of addiction and it can produce significant mental health issues if used by the wrong kind of people.”
He added, “It took decades for the public to understand the risks of cigarettes, and the legalization of cannabis has taken place only over a few years.”

Davey, you need to shave your head, set a jellyfish on there and see if it'll infuse copious amounts of Prevagen by osmosis into your skull so by the time you get to the end of a paragraph you can remember what you read in the 1st sentence of that paragraph.

this has nothing to do with the matter at hand but I googled that Bernard guy and the list of studies he’s done made me lol hard. Featuring titles like -

[h=4]Sexual Behaviours and Condom Use in a Sample of Brazilian Crack Cocaine Smokers[/h]

How's that? This is saying that there is a potential of addiction to cannabis but it has nothing to do with the matter at hand????

That is a funny article title, but did you take the time to read it. It wasn't very long. Basically said crack smokers dont like using condoms and this could be a result of risky behavioral traits they have. I see you judge a book by its cover.

- - - Updated - - -

I have another question pertaining to this. If legalized will employers be under fire for having their drug policies and have to lighten/repeal them?

I’ll answer your question with a question....are employers under fire right now for checking if their employees are drunk at work?

I'd like to hear from some business owners on this topic. So if marijuana is legalized, will they continue drug testing for those who are applying for jobs or continue to have random testing employees? Maybe only testing for harder drugs now? Will having a positive marijuana test change their mind on hiring or firing? I assume I know the answer to this question, but I'm not a business owner so I really don't know what their thoughts are. Why or why not?

I would think any employer can still test you and fire you if yo show up high. Alcohol is legal, does your employer let you show up to work shitfaced and drive an excavator? Most companies have policies regarding alcohol, tobacco, drugs, firearms, i'm not sure why people think MJ would be any different, and flout all laws and employer policies?

You’re taking me and my comment too seriously. Simply put, I googled the guy and laughed at a few of the titles of his studies. That’s it. Not taking anything away from the guy, or the article you posted. I’m easily amused. Sorry

Dont need to be a business owner to answer that question. Businesses cannot control what their employees do in their free time if it is legal. This is a right to work state and business owners dont need a 'good reason' to fire an employee. So MJ would be treated basically how alcohol currently is, you can drink in your free time, but if you show up to work drunk, youll risk being fired. Same with weed. A lot of people dont know this, but drug testing has really decreased, except in certain professions/jobs that require it for insurance or other legal reasons. Because employeers can fire someone for basically anything, there is no need to fail a drug test for them to let an employee go.

EVERYTHING can be 'habit forming', if you use it in that sense... I guess my ex was 'addicted' to chewing on her fingernails, we should outlaw them!

People willing to take risks might have behavioral traits that likely increase their mortality???????
