I got my property tax statement and the primary residence credit covered my entire consolidated tax. I only have to pay $181.14 in special assessments. I love living in rural North Dakota where the housing market isn't through the roof.
Lucky! I have to look again as i just glanced at it before leaving the house but i believe I have to pay in around $200 more then last year with the credit..i guess its better then nothing...sucks becuase when the credit is gone...i am gonna have a whopper of a tax bill... if what i looked at was correct.

So your tax bill increased $1800 from last year? Yikes!

Mine decreased by $600. I live in a modest house. The biggest concern of mine is that one has to go and reapply every fkn year. I was told by one of my senators that its a menards type of rebate you either apply for it or its lost--in other words they rely on the elderly, the sick, the busy bodies etc that will "FORGET TO FILE"

Stuff like this is why politicians are thought of as the worst society has to offer

Maybe iam simple minded, but if they ask me to fill out a electronic paper that takes less than a minute to fill out. I would do that every month to save $1600.
Because you shouldn't have to. They have every piece of information they require on file. Its the Menards rebate scam . Hoping people forget , and it looks like 5% did . The year before it was 8%

It takes less than a minute to. Do we have to bitch about everyfuckingthing?
Nope just things that are not right. How much do you think the state is going to spend on ads telling people to sign up. Maybe Bryan Kroshus has higher political ambitions because he will be on non stop for 3 months. Just apply it every year , pretty simple

Some people own more than one house or have rentals.

The state requires registration because its only for your primary residents, and the state cannot distinguish between what is and is not the primary one.
