Drive another half hour south and cast for giant pike on sakakawea
might as fucking well have. The piers were pulled in at Rice Lake and Nelson Carlson yesterday. Seeings how I don't have a boat, my fishing will be limited in the areas I CAN go. I drove almost 3 hours trying to fish and nothing lmao

Well weā€™re covered for German bakeries in S central NDā€¦.if you havenā€™t tried Rice lake S of Minot yet maybe listen to MSA and head to Sakakawea
Yeah, I think I might have to just make the longer drive and try there before it gets too cold to bother. I'm going to try and research fishing spots along there. See if there's any shoreline that works out.

No matter what bait I use, I have yet to catch a walleye this year lol NO idea why
Try tossing 1/4 oz mimic minnows. If rock banks available, they warm up a little quicker. Silver shiner and perch color have been best for me for both walleye and pike Thank me later šŸ˜‰

White and watermelon work decent also.

Lincoln, kinda...
If you are willing to try the New Town area, here's where I would recommend casting a line:

It's about 5 miles north of New Town off of Highway 1804. I zoomed in a bit on Google Earth so you can see the trails there that take you down to the water. It's one of the few places where shoreline access is still allowed outside of ramps and camping areas. Note, there's no camping here nowadays, but shorefishing should still provide good opportunities at pike, walleye, white bass and catfish.

It's about an hour drive from Berthold.

thanks for that advice! None of my minnow baits have caught anything so far, but maybe trying a different color would help.
