Does anyone know the logic behind if you have a medical MJ card you can’t own a gun? I’m not sure of the validity of this but I’ve HEARD that is the case in the republic of Minnesomolia. Is this true?

I don’t think its ownership it is you just can’t purchase one through a dealer without becoming a felon, just ask Hunter B.

wrong. I was told there is a question on the card app. asking if you own guns. which automatically put you on a "list" .

Can You Own a Gun with a Medical Card in North Dakota?

No. While North Dakota has no specific law restricting medical marijuana cardholders from purchasing guns, medical marijuana users will not be able to purchase firearms due to federal restrictions. Anyone wishing to buy a gun legally must complete a firearms transaction record form provided by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). According to ATF rules, licensed firearms dealers are prohibited from selling guns to marijuana users. This also means that medical marijuana cardholders caught with firearms will be prosecuted under federal law.

I was listening to the radio I believe it was 101.1 the jack and there was a woman who had two reason why rec mj should stay illegal, for the record I don't support this but she does have a point and thar she says mj potency has not been researched on long term use and candy like gummies could be considered child abuse if a child was to eat them. I do realize that it doesn't make much sense in the overall debate but that's the issue with most people is the lack of real scientific research conducted by experts. I just can't see middle class north dakota agree with all of the reason why it should be legal for token by everyone. The fact that the state messed up 60 percent of the north dakota voters who agreed with mj had to strip it down to allow only a select few dispensaries access to medical grade mj. Until the federal government reduces mj to a schedule 2 or 3 north dakota I believe will keep voting against rec use. In our poll i voted either was since I'm all for medical use while restrictions of high thc grade mj for everyday users. The reality here is that north dakota is surrounded by states that have recreational users access to mj so its really not a big issue if one wants to toke one.

Illegal aliens as a whole commit less crime (besides entering illegally) than the national average. In the spirit of inclusion and diversity; the Country, should be able to absorb a statistically minor increase of situations for "C" High School students to solve:

possession of normal amounts of MJ is already decriminalized in ND. its an "infraction" akin to a traffic citation.

don't get me wrong. i am absolutely a yes on this. but, MJ users/possessors aren't taking up any space in our jails.
