I'm not mad. Sorry if my tone makes it seem that way. At this point though, I do find it mildly annoying that you attempt to sell (for whatever reason) that it works 'just fine' in SD so it'll work 'just fine' in ND.

As the numbers indicate, the two are not comparable.

Amen

You mean like signing others peoples names to rep and causing a big shit storm of drama annoyed or like i forgot to wipe and now my ass itches really bad annoyed.

All I'm going to say is that since moving to SD from ND, it has really made me appreicate how good I had it in ND . . . don't allow it to be changed!

you dont like hunting deer every year and goats and plus you chose to live in the arm pit its like going to fargo and saying all of north dakota sucks.

Kurt, If you keep bashing ND we will no longer allow you to partake in this wonderful site we call Nodakangler Just in case you haven't noticed it is call Nodakangler not Sodakangler . A name like Sodakangler would just be stupid.

Completely different things. How SD G&F runs things is amazing, truly appreciate how things are done in that manner and being able to get multiple deer tags every year is awesome. However, not growing up around here, so no knowing anyone with land and the trespass laws suck. It might be different if more counties would allow Onxmaps to publish info or even offer it them selves, but many do not. The ease of access in ND on private land is much better than SD.

Believe me I hate living in eastern SD, but my wife owns part of a company here, and I don't see us moving anytime soon, so I'll just keep putting on the miles in the fall.

Why does it matter to you? I did not ask for or need your comments on this question
obi
you are posting on a public internet site, kinda hard to regulate who responds to your posts.

I asked the question simply out of curiousity how people think.

So what difference does it make whether someone lets someone on their private lands to shoot bucks?

My goal this year is to find a bowhunting spot of private land within 45 min of Sioux Falls. The first year I wasn't able to find that, last year I only hunted public and there's just way too damn many people. I don't know if I'll do it or not, but I'd love to find something, so that I can hunt more often this year. All my rifle hunting is done west river, so that I don't have to worry about access, but I was able to get on some private land antelope hunting this year. East is tough and I don't blame the land owners at all, just too many people.

I said sure but along with that I get the profits. You love comparing apples to grapes. But your the best at it. You'll have to call the state and ask how much Menards contributes to the Mohall schools. The rest of the state pays far more to your school than the property taxes collected in your district.

So the rest of the state and Menards pays the mill level increase at the county level to build a new shop?

eye YOU know what our original conversation that jump started this whole little tit for tat was about. there was no mention of values or revenues ect... it was simply property tax liabilites.

I know you will not swap, I knew you never would, you like to spout off and than scramble when you find yourself in a corner.

I was referring to schools. If your county wants a new shop they can raise the money numerous ways. Doesn't have to be property taxes. I hope I live long enough to see you contribute something of substance to other topics on this site.

The point of continuing the little property tax/subsidy/farmershaveittoogood dialogue is to simply show the attitude of a handful of folks that often are the casue of someone supporting this bill.

The problem is this bill won;t change those attitudes nor the actions of some of those that have them. This may get defeated this time around again which I hope it does, but unless people admit to why it keeps coming back.......it will keep coming back.

This is a hunting site, yet when a handful of people start bashing ag for no real reason, there is not that many people on this sportsmen site that tell them to knock it off because it does not help anything.

Good factual discussions are one thing the typical rhetoric we see on these sites is another

It is not an anti hunter bill, it is an anti asshole bill.

I ate at Sanfords in Rapid City SD once, it was pure bliss. So I tried our local one once, a bunch of times, it is not as neat. That is why ND is better, the chances are chancier.

you are a peach of all peaches arent you? so what then gst. should we just all as taxpayers say "ah its for the farmers so we better just trust it is for the best." so when things start raising eyebrows were supposed to just let it slide?..... no one is anti-ag here. you are completely missing any points opposite yours.whether u want to admit it or not we are all in this. we all have skin in the game. the farmer and the taxpayers. same boat different sides. this bill will just drive the taxpaying hunter and landowner who have lived in harmony for decades apart....... but maybe thats what you want isnt it gabe? if i recall correctly didnt you pm awhile back about getting my facts straight on the corporate farming measure? didnt you tell me u helped write that bill? maybe i can dig up an old saved message and refresh mine and your memory..... so who benefits if farmers and hunters lose relationships and it goes to hell? corporate farming perhaps? you are something else.
