i heard 55lbs won it. Probably 3 pound basket weight included as they don’t Tare the scale. Insane weight!

No jealousy here , but I'd like to know how the heck they pulled it off this early in the season. . Plus, I was expecting to see big ol fat females bulging with eggs .

To clarify, my post was poorly worded. I’m jealous as hell that these guys can catch these kind of fish. I wish I could catch fish on the river.

Those two young guns won it a couple of years ago. We were in the same spot for a moment and could feel the gut punch of their tail-hooked 29.5. Ironically, they wouldn’t have needed that fish anyway. Congratulations to those three studs for winning again.


Even more impressive was the fact that there were two 40 lb bags as well. Thankfully, the rain waited until we got back to the bay.
