Changing aircraft won't matter it simply comes down to snow. if we have snow they count if we don't they dont.

The drones can hover within feet of the herd, bring in feed piles or put some camera ups next to those big piles of corn. This study is a process that will take sometime to find out what is the right plan of action. Not doing anything at all is ignorance

Not true. They have flown mule deer surveys, moose surveys, and big horn surveys in the past 5 years regardless of snow cover. We didn't have hardly any snow the past two winters and yet those surveys went off without fail. So why not White Tails????

The real issue is with more restrictions on use of drones and definitions of land owners rights of air space over their own land, the game and fish may have to get help from legislation because other states have passes laws restricting use of drones. It still will come down to laND owners copereration to be manage the herd, but KDM said it in another post that most land owners don't want to let people know the numbers of deer especially big bucks.

Good article lunker. Would be able to keep one hired out looking for those big bucks that sometimes don't drop as soon as expected. If that would be legal ? It should be IMO Might have to tell NDGF they could issue a special permit to make that done fly.

Could drop off some little pieces of candy for a few coyotes too, Make sure they don't suffer the winter .

For some people it is being able to hunt and hunting for meat not horns.
I am not knocking anyones style of hunting by any means. really. I dont care that much. I do find it interesting how a lot of folks complain about not gettings tags, yada, but when they do get a tag its like a race to see how fast they can fill it. Literally shoot the first buck that jumps out of the slough. Then brag at the bar how they tagged out at 12:15. ND rifle season is a strange thing to me.

yup and i have no problem with that at all. I hunt for meat too. You can tell by the serious lack of horns i have on the wall haha. I guess i just try to savor my time spent deer hunting not try to tag out as soon as possible like its some chore I have to do. Thats more what i was getting at.
