I like a Russet Potato baked. Cooled over night in fridge then cut into American fries. Season with Cajun shaker and cooked till crispy and 2 or 3 over easy eggs. Deer Sausage and toast, now that's a breakfast.Need a good seasoned flat top to do hashbrowns diner style. I prefer American fries using boiled taters myself. Hungary now dammit. LB

I buy the refrigerated but not frozen and do the rest of the suggestions. have shredded my own when that's the only choice but it's more work.I use frozen shredded hash browns and cast iron. It took a while but I finally figured out to use a bunch of grease like he said. I might try covering them and thawing them out 1st like he suggested. When I first started cooking breakfast I always shredded my own, but its much easier to buy them.
