I have gold flake in my aluminum Lund which is likely different. After applying paint with an airbrush I used a rubbing compound. Wrong, the flake all comes to the surface and only slight rub takes it out. The bad looking area kept getting bigger. At last it was two inches wide and eight inches long when on my fourth try I got s near perfect application. You have to be inches from that scratch to find it now. I got that scratch years ago, but it was only the second day that I owned the boat.
