Our national debt is now at around $17 trillion, larger for the first time in recent history than the size of our entire economy. They enjoy their malls and their cars and their houses and as long as someone’s willing to lend them the money to buy this stuff they don’t seem to care much about how it will be one day paid. They still represent an enormous voting block and have no intention to have this lifestyle threatened. This is the real reason Washington can’t create a long-term deficit reduction plan. The boomers love their safety nets.

Ifthat article goes on and on and it's old as the debt just higher yet. Does every boomer do that no. However I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Back that drunk bus up Shorty. I'm 56 and been married 33 years. Been working since I was 16 and have NEVER gotten 1 penny of assistance from anyone or any program. Never have been delinquent on any loans. Always paid my share of taxes. So my question is, how is the national debt caused by me or my wife? Don't lump us all in the same shit pile of a life your living in or think you will be living in because of us boomers.
