If the wind dies like it's suppose to there will be lots of ice made tonight. Last time I looked at the forecast it was saying -13 in Bismarck and essentially no wind. Maybe that's changed since I looked last though

Went out to a local lake tonight drilled 4 holes about a 100 yards off shore was 3 inches across the board.ice seems solid even though looks mighty sketchy

Creel and Wolford's, or Walford's, however you spell it were both open las night and we have pictures up showing them. Creel had a skim this morning, six mile also had a skim this morning. Go time boys and girls!

I drove around Darling this afternoon. Checked Grano first. Although there were no people out when I went by, I can confirm that people were there within the last week.

Then I drove by the dam and there were two portables set up just out from landing 1. Talked to one of the guys and was told there was 6" of ice as far out as 50 or so yards from shore.

Does anyone have a report for ice on any of the lakes in the Turtle Lake region or Strawberry Lake by Velva?

Tobacco to the tank is froze all the way across as of this morning choppy ice on the shore to 50 yrds out then smooths out a litttle

Was that way yesterday morning too. I expect to see someone out there by Saturday, should be good to go a week from today, next day off.

Not hardly a day above zero in the 2 week forcast, shes gonna be thick by x-mas

Yep, i have'nt been out to look yet, but gotta believe the Devil had to skim over last night. Minimal snow and subzero temps for at least a week should put an inch or two on a day now for a while. Should be in line excellent layer of good, safe ice.

Yeah so now Murphys law dictates a couple more big snow storms between now and then rendering most lakes unfishable and unreachable without a sled or wheeler with tracks.
