Why not just pull the lever instead of the switch?

Now now..not everyone knows everything. I can understand the confusion..its a little misleading saying electric PTO. Should be electric PTO clutch or electric pto switch maybe?

This is what I mean about over engineering a riding lawn mower where the single motor was the only power output that was needed.
This guy removes the motor and uses the pto clutch motor to move the garden tractor

Anyways I was venting because the pto clutch burnt out the second one on this machine, another problem is that if you happen to be mowing thick grass and engage the clutch it will rip belts like crazy, ended up going to a 5/8 belt but it still will rip the belt after awhile. Atleast the old push clutch system lasted forever and you could ease the belts to get the blades to turn again. Again that is all I was trying to point out sorry for the confusion on my part, since I was the one who was confused by the over engineering pos.

I have two John Deere GX345's, one with 980 hrs other with 650 hrs and according to the serial number neither of them have been changed. There was a warning about them a few yrs ago but my serial numbers do not fall in line with the one with the problem.

The cub cader is 18 years old so it haz many hours of mowing ditches and 3 acres of wooded areas, it still didn't complete with my other mower toro that the motor is finally losing compression so it doesn't have the power anymore. And that one is a 2000 model and the only thing I ever changed as far as belts and blades. My neighbor has a 30 year old John deere riding mower that is still goin strong today just belts and blades since again they dont make blades even worth sharpening like the older blades that could stand up to some ditch rocks with peices gouging out the soft steel. No they just dont make anything to last anymore everything is made cheap so they have to be thrown away so you have to buy more brand new cheap Chinese crap.
