Lucky up here too , Only an inch or two , Most of that came within 1/2 hour stretch that was very ugly. Wind blowing so hard the snow feels like a sandblaster on the face. Ski goggles are golden on a day like today.

This "Glen" must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed and stepped in dog shit on his way to make his morning coffee. Then he got on the computer. I was wondering if it was one of you guys grumbling about the meteorologists this morning. Even Amber was joking about him , I hope he is sitting in the ditch somewhere lol .

Sawyer,
I think Kurtr is sending it our way. We aren't done by any stretch of the imagination. So far though, Bismarck has been fortunate. I think the airport has only registered about 3.5 inches as of 1:00 this afternoon. Snow in the wind is a really tricky thing to get right tho.

Not much for wind up here in Sawyer country. Appears we have about 4 inches of heavy wet snow.

I wonder if she’s any relation to John Wheeler, the WDAY meteorologist. Fargo has some pretty good meteorologists and sportscasters. Too bad our newspaper and a few local radio guys suck so much.

Got about 5 inches on the deck rails, but I'm guessing some of it has melted. Picked the wife up at 2:30 and talk about a shit show driving in this town. ;:;banghead Heavy wet stuff gets pretty slick when you drive on it. Sanders and blades are going but the snow is coming down fast enough that it covers the sand up in short order.

^...Maybe...maybe not, but you do know Olson and his son both lost their homes during the 2011 flood...so kinda understandable if he is hyper-sensitive to the threat...real or perceived...of flooding...IMO.

that’s the clumpiest cloggiest heaviest snow I’ve ever dealt with

Glad it’s over.

First time I’ve ever used the goofy little plastic shovel they have clipped on the Ariens.

Not so goofy when it clogs.

I suppose we could get on the tv news and be like some of the people after a hurricane and ask, " where is the government ". Just kidding.

Cranked up the snow blower at 9:30 last night and did the driveway, guessing there was around 8"s then. Fired it back up at 5:30 this morning before taking the wife to work, and cleaned off another 3"s.

Storm was a big flop in my area- I shoveled out the front door- other wise the driveway is wide open. A lot of wind- mostly rain and maybe 2" of snow late yesterday.

Good to hear that a lot of dry areas got some much needed moisture tho. Sorry about the ice pheasants.

Not sure what her weather maps look like but she's certainly easy to look at. Must we start another Weather Babes topic?

In the north central part of the state I had maybe about 6 inches on my driveway. Nowhere near close to the 10-18" that was possible. Actually good news once. I'm pretty sure the weather people always error on the side of caution and predict the absolute worst it could be. Did see where someplace in SE ND received 18 inches so the prediction was correct in at least one township in the state.

Monster blizzards are a pain in the ass to deal with and even worse if you have livestock. About once every 10 years or so it might be kind of fun to have one where with a 4-wheel drive you can make it to the bar, but then settle in where it's impossible to make it home. They make for some good story-telling for years after.

For me at age 71 the memories of this March storm are not anywheres close to the memories at age 19 from the March of 66 storm.
My how age does change things. Neither time do I remember or will I remember the amount of snowfall.
In fact I will not remember this storm as I age but 1966 no way can I forget. db-2
