Where in the foos you hunting AR-15, you stuck in a 2" high snow drift or what?
I almost got stuck this morning. Then an hour later I had to go pull my dad out. Some trails sneak up on you where I’m at.

4 or 5 inches of snow then a 20 mph wind with gusts up to 35 mph this morning = snow drifts. I will be putting the tow rope and shovel into the pickup tonight for tomorrow. I also want to see pictures of hunters with their deer. Where are they??

I would agree not all about horns or actually getting one, but I do like to get a deer and get some meat. I really enjoy time out with friends. My dad didn't, doesn't hunt or fish and never has but one thing we have done since I was 15 was make sausage whether deer or pork. Me and my dad do very little for tradition but this has become the main tradition we have together. I am not a huge horn hunter but would take one if it came along and there is always so much to do this time of year. With the bow always said will wait for buck and then all of a sudden there comes the nice doe and ops the bow release let go ACCIDENTLY and it was time to fish and make sausage. The size of the deer will not matter as long as my dad is still around to make sausage with. Gotta love this state with everything there is to do this time of year. Enjoy rest of season and be safe out there all.
forgot to say we put down a 4x4 and a small meat buck for landowner and a doe, seen more bucks than does and have mostly does but back at it tomorrow again also
With the opener on Friday, just want to wish all you guys and gals GOOD LUCK!! :gotone: Unfortunately, I did not get a tag this year (oh well, such is life) but I will be taking my daughter out hunting and hopefully we will be getting together with my son and daughter in law, as they have tags also. :;:rockit Remember its not about shooting a deer, it's about getting out with family and or friends and into the great outdoors of North Dakota. The deer is just a bonus. And please remember to be SAFE!

My deer hunt turned into a coyote hunt. Also found a nice pair of matched sheds. Time for some sleep and do it all over again tomorrow.

We had a nice afternoon even though we didn't shoot a deer. The boy and I had a smaller mulie come walking past us, didn't evan bat an eye at as. I whistled a couple times and he didn't lift his head once. Assuming he was hot on the sent of a doe. The boy did shoot a porcupine so he was excited. We have a couple hockey games tomorrow so hoping getting out early on su day will produce a decent buck.

My brother got a dandy two days before rifle with his bow and my son got a dandy this evening. Now it's my turn, I've sat about 25 times so far waiting for one certain buck. Maybe Canada will treat me a little bit better this week!

Well, everyone that wanted to fill, got their tag filled. The others already had full freezers. Our group probably saw 75-100 deer in two days. Another well earned, goo season in the books. On to Montana.

We seen at least 10 bucks with 3 being shooters and over 20 does. Watched this guy bed down around 10 this morning and went back at 4 and he was still there. Picture taken thru my Monarch binos with an S7 phone
