I have a keg of reloder 33 . Will trade for other powders such as retumbo, reloder 26, reloder 17, imr 4350. I’m sure nobody has those for trade but what the hey lay by the bay and eat some hay.

I've got 1000 CCI 400 small rifle primers that I'd like to trade for CCI 450, 41, CCI BR4, or Rem. 7-1/2. Ran into some pressure problems with my load this weekend running the CCI 400s. Might have more 400s to trade if I can find something else that works.

Curious what pressure problems a Magnum primer is going to alleviate? Having trouble getting ball powder lit? Wide swings in ES/SD?

The 450s and BR4s have a harder / thicker cup. On one load I was messing with, everything was fine with 450s. Then I tested 400s with it and was piercing primers. However, @lazyMlazyK it usually means you should back of the charge, not switch primers.

Does anyone know why there are no .257 bullets anywhere to be found?

Because manufacturers are behind on everything and the combined shooters of the 257 Roberts, 25-06, and 257Wby aren't enough to make .257 projectiles a priority.

Exactly, except the primers I did load development with were too thin for the application. Didn't think about pressure limits of the cartridge before choosing the primer. The CCI 400 wasn't intended for use in the 6.5 Creedmoor. From what I've read, the CCI 400 is about a 40kpsi primer, and the 6.5 CM is about a 65kpsi round.

You using Lapua brass with the small rifle primers? The only primers I could find are small rifle magnums so I was planning to try that brass so let me know how it goes

Yeah, with anything Creedmoor SRP, you probably want 450s. Although you may still be running a bit hot. The 6.5 CM load I pierced the 400s on was a stiff dose of RL26. It was a screamer, pushing 140s over 3000 FPS out of a 26" barrel. I still have a bunch of those loaded with 450s for smacking steel, but for hunting, I've gone back to my standard load of 41.8gr H4350 at 2850 FPS.

Lapua SRP is where it's at for 6.5 CM, but yes, you want magnum primers to go with it.
