Dogs are only as smart as the people who train them.

NOT. some are bred and born to be pure airheads and fail at almost everything they do in life and some are bred and born to be good dogs, choose wisely what you want your dog to do for you. Good breeders have made it easier over the years but no matter how good of a trainer you think you are some mutts are just impossible and the next one will teach you a lot.

I'll have a litter of GSPs here in a couple months. I can hide the mother when you come to see them. Pups should only be around 1-2#s.

Just picked up a caviler king Charles spaniel, great pup so far. Smallest breed of the spaniel family. 154268370370768069598.jpg

Not true, different dog breeds have very distinct traits and intelligence is one of them. Intelligence is clearly a heritable trait, in all species... I suppose you are on the, "there are no bad Pitt bulls, just bad Pitt bull owners...." side, haha

Do you work at those Asian massage shops in Bismarck that a guy was talking about in the Measure 3 thread?

the 3 most important things about a house dog is

1 - Non shedding
2 - Non shedding
3 - Non shedding

The wife is on her second Maltese and she is 6 yrs old the 1st was 16 when he was put down. they both have been very good dogs and are not the hippy / barky type little dogs. they are great with babies and kids but do have a bit of a diva attitude.

I will 2nd and 3rd the option to get one that is non shedding!!!!! Also, if you are going the puppy route, be sure and socialize the heck out of the dog! See as many persons as possible. 100's! Get that new pup used to people.

I have 2 Jack Russels, they are both female and one is 2 years younger than the other out of the same mother father though. Do not I repeat do not get 2 females, they will fight to the death, Even over small shit like food left on table. We got them both fixed and that seemed to help but about once a month they still will get into it bad to the point of blood, ripped noses, torn ears, If you wouldn't be there to separate one would be dead.. Otherwise they are great very smart, barky like most small dogs, do shed quite a little. Believe with some effort when they were young they would make great ditch rooster dogs, will hunt and kill mice snakes anything that moves, very busy with nose always on ground..

I know these are not low shedding dogs but when a kid we had a shetland sheepdog (sheltie). Very cool dog. Super smart, sweet, very tough and protective. I assume just like large collie. Thinking he was 15ish lbs?

^^^^so is it the dogs or the neighbor that's aggressive and dumber than shit??? :;:huh

Definitely the dogs, he' tried, but he was just gone too much. Those dogs were so mixed they look and acted retarded.

My wife wanted a Yorkie in the worst way when we moved back to Minot. One Sunday morning we were sleeping one off and I turned on the TV for some back ground noise in hopes to stop hearing the pounding in my head. I turned on the show puppies 101, they had a segment on about a Havanese. The wife perks up a little and listens to this and wouldn't you know it I know have two in my house. 1 only bark for cause, 2 don't shed, 3 no known health issues. They have been pretty neat if you are getting forced into a small breed you may want to consider.

I've always wanted a beagle. Rabbit hunting fools.

My dad had a miniature schnauzer. He's had alot of dogs and was even trained as a k9 handler. He said one of the best dogs he ever had. Smart and well behaved. Absolutely awesome with kids
