People will still go...I don't know where they are gonna get the money. Becker doesn't have a plan.
Davey, thanks for posting this debate between Rick Becker (supporting) and Bob Harms (opposing)
I posted it in Should ND legalize MarijuanaDavey, thanks for posting this debate between Rick Becker (supporting) and Bob Harms (opposing)
Bob Harms used to be the head of the ND Tea Party. Good guy. Rick Becker is very conservative, and I wish he had made US House.
At the end or 57-minute mark, Gary Emneth announced he is going to have a debate next Wednesday about Measure 5 or the marijuana measure. The supporter is a former Mayor of Bismarck (didn't catch his name because I was half listening) and the opposition is.......(drum roll) Roger Kaseman.
Davey, please post that for me.
I hadn't read the "Should ND legalize Marijuana" thread. Now I did.
Watched the video. I had not seen Roger since he ran for Representative of District 31. Another fail.
The years have not been kind to him.
Armstrong is a spender of tax collections of course he is going to oppose any tax reductions(North Dakota Monitor) -Republican gubernatorial candidate U.S. Rep. Kelly Armstrong said lawmakers should be prepared to stay in Bismarck for longer than 80 days and make difficult decisions if voters pass Measure 4 this November.
In an interview with the North Dakota Monitor, Armstrong said he opposes the property tax measure

You tell them to get screwed and you will be assessed at the highest possible rate they can give you. I think its a dam invasion of privacy having them come look through your house! Such a joke!We used to live outside of the city of Bismarck but in Burleigh County. We had a house built within the city limits this past summer and closed on it about the end of October. A few days ago we received a letter from the Bismark Assessor requesting that we call and make an appointment as to when they could come over and check the place out. Since it is new construction, the City knows the lot size and the house design and I am pretty sure they can easily find out what we paid for it so I am wondering why the hell do they need to inspect it. I am also wondering the pros or cons of having it inspected. What will the impact be on my evaluation? So far, I am leaning towards telling them to get screwed but does anyone on this site have experience with this scenario? Thanks.
I built and closed in oct. 2020 in Fargo....they didn't come into your house at that time cause of the virus. 18months later they increased my value by 50k and then they wanted to increase it again this spring by 85K.....I called and told them they better send someone out as I think this is a little crazy. I told the lady that came that my biggest issue is at the rate they were increasing the value of my home since I moved in it would double in 7years. In less then 24hrs she called back and said that she couldn't justify the proposed increase and actually put it 10k less then the prior value. We will see how the next 2years go.We used to live outside of the city of Bismarck but in Burleigh County.
