Rice Lake yay or nay?

Thinking about driving down over to Rice Lake and checking it out for shore fishing soon.
It's about a 45 minute drive for me, so I can leave earlier than I planned to make it there when it warms up a bit so I don't freeze my tits off again.
Anyone gone there recently?
Pros, cons or any information would be great.

Dont be such a Debbie downer…. Im sure there’s somewhere in Strasburg a fisherman or woman can get themselves a long John or a cream pie . As for fishing they bite there all the time if you know where to dangle your worm some dandy northerns 42+ lurk in those waters.

45 minute drive for that? No thanks lmao But, a 42 pike would be great. My PB is still only at 33 inches.
